In my previous retail therapy post I promised to share with you MORE places to get retail therapy in the Riverland so welcome to the second instalment.
Yes, you may still have to set aside a day if you want to browse all the stores mentioned in the two part series in one go, but why not spend a morning or an afternoon in just one town. Before Christmas I set aside one day for Renmark and one day for Loxton.
Ok, so I didn’t spend the WHOLE day browsing every store, but it did allow me to take my time, stop for coffees, salted caramel slice and a yummy Vietnamese chicken baguette (I’ll share with you where, soon!). All this and I still had time to get home with enough time to do some
partner approved things around the house like un-stack the dishwasher, do some washing, hang with my dogs and get dinner out the freezer.
Hidden in the streets of Berri is Pepperz a store with a bit of everything from homewares and kitchen gadgets, to boutique chocolates and cheese and also everyone’s favourites, candles, clothing and cushions!
Renmark by Design
Providing interior decorating services and inspiring in store styling displays, Renmark by Design really will encourage you to bring colour, flair and your own personality into your home. I sat in the front window of the store on the long rustic kitchen bench, admiring the detailed styling of every shelf and piece of floor space while enjoying a fresh juice. A great spot to sit and think about your potential purchases, if you’re a logical shopper like me!
Need a bouquet of flowers that will absolutely yell “CONGRATULATIONS” or “I WAS THINKING OF YOU” or “I’M SORRY”? Well you better head to Jodie Lee’s in Berri and be doubly surprised by the beautiful store filled with homewares, clothing, baby wear and accessories that are all placed enticingly throughout the store. Always a favourite with the ladies I work with!
Surf to Suit
The name says it all really, Surf to Suit in Loxton is a great spot if you feel like buying your man something, so he doesn’t feel like his wardrobe is five years out of date. I like coming here to browse for handy travel accessories and pretty summer pieces. All the beloved surf brands can be found here and a there is great range beyond boardies and hoodies for all seasons.
La Villa Home Decore & Gifts
I get quite hungry while getting my therapy and La Villa in Loxton is a great spot to browse around snack or lunch times. In their overflowing homeware store, La Villa have managed to make space for a cafe. Serving up light lunches (the Vietnamese baguette was delicious) and great coffee, do I need to give another reason to get you to browse!
Recently relocating from Berri to Loxton (something in the water over at Loxton), Mureti Boutique is another quality store for pieces that will turn heads at any special event. I haven’t ventured into the new store in Loxton (as they were moving while I was developing this series) but I am sure that the store will invite and nurture you into finding what your heart desires!
Cave of Wonders
There is a cave full of wondrous treasures in Waikerie. The Cave of Wonders has been a long standing feature of the main street and don’t be fooled by the seemingly small entrance. Like any good cave, once inside it opens up and into large sections filled with jewellery, accessories, homewares and a whole array of pieces that make gift giving really easy!
Well I hope that part 1 & 2 of retail therapy in the Riverland has inspired you to visit a different store or town to what you normally would. Or that it has inspired you to add “browsing for bargains” to your list of things to do on your visit to the Riverland.
Where do you go for retail therapy in the Riverland? Happy shopping ladies, I’d love to know what you find!
